The three county commissioners all worked hard to turn the Comprehensive Plan - the community's collective vision for the future - into actual policy on development. The new land development code is the fulfillment of a promise. We finished what we started.
Diversify our economy
We need more businesses like New West KnifeWorks and CityPass who employ locals and build the economy without depending on the up-and-down real estate cycle. Modernizing the land use code and supporting our public schools will help attract new businesses to the valley and create quality jobs.
Preserve our rural character
I believe in finding common ground and working together to protect the agricultural and recreational gems around us.
Embody Solid Principles
Let values guide my choices
I was raised with the old fashioned values of hard work and thrift. I care deeply about clean air, clean water and clean energy. I believe in preserving the integrity of our public lands. I enjoy collaboration and highly value the opinions and skillsets of others. My basic nature is that of a problem solver and project manager.
Make conscientious decisions
I believe in evidence-based decision making. County services should be based on facts and figures, not sweetheart deals and personal bias.
Deliver true public service
I will commit fully to my role as County Commissioner and serve the public with the diligence they deserve. I will be sure to embrace opportunities for training and collaboration across the state.
